The rules for playing CyberSushi and using this website, in plain English.
The short version
- CyberSushi is an online game. You play with your Steam or Epic account, and your progress is saved online.
- Sushi Coins, tickets, characters and other in-game items are for use in the game only. They have no cash value.
- Rifts give random rewards. The exact odds are always shown in the game and at cybersushigame.com/odds.
- Purchases go through the store you play on, such as Steam, and your rights under consumer law always apply.
- Play fair. Cheating, bots and exploits can cost you your progress or your account.
- You're welcome to stream CyberSushi and post videos of it, including monetized ones.
This summary is here to help. The full terms below is what applies.
01About these terms
These terms apply when you play CyberSushi, including the free demo, and when you use cybersushigame.com. CyberSushi is made and published by Ezza Games Pty Ltd ("Ezza Games", "we", "us" or "our") of Sydney, Australia.
By playing CyberSushi or using this website, you agree to these terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you don't agree, please don't play the game or use the website.
The store you got the game from has its own terms, such as the Steam Subscriber Agreement or the Epic Games Store terms, and they apply too.
02Who can play
You need a Steam or Epic Games account, and you must meet that store's age requirements. If you are under 18, or under the age of adulthood where you live, a parent or guardian should read these terms with you, agree to them for you and approve any purchases.
03Your account and online play
- CyberSushi needs an internet connection. It signs you in through Epic Online Services with your Steam or Epic account and saves your progress online.
- Keep your Steam or Epic account secure. You are responsible for what happens on your account.
- We work hard to keep your progress safe, but online services can have outages and bugs. If something goes wrong with your account, email contact@ezzagames.com and we will help.
04Virtual items
- Sushi Coins, Signal tickets, characters, Wasabuddies, power-ups and the other things you earn or buy in CyberSushi are virtual items. When you get one, we give you a personal license to use it in the game. You don't own it, it has no real-world value and it can't be exchanged for money.
- You can't sell, trade or transfer virtual items or accounts outside the game, or buy them from anyone other than us or the store you play on.
- We may adjust virtual items to keep the game balanced, and we may remove items that came from cheating, bugs, fraud, refunds or chargebacks.
- If your account is deleted or closed, its virtual items are lost.
05Rifts and odds
- Rifts in the Vendo give random rewards. Every pull, called a dispense, is decided by our game server.
- The odds for every Rift, with its pity and guarantee rules, are shown in the game before you pull and at cybersushigame.com/odds.
- Limited-time Rifts, such as Exclusive Rifts, are only open between the dates shown.
- Each dispense costs a ticket. You earn tickets by playing, and you can also get them by exchanging Sushi Coins or from some shop offers.
06Purchases
- Where purchases are available, you can buy Sushi Coins and other offers in the game with real money. Payment is handled by the store you play on, such as Steam, under that store's terms. We never see your card or bank details.
- Prices are shown in your local currency before you confirm. What you buy is added to your CyberSushi account once the store confirms your payment. Some offers, such as the Welcome Gift, can only be bought once per account.
- Counter Club is a 30-day membership. It doesn't renew automatically, so you are only charged when you choose to buy it. Each membership day lasts 24 hours from the time you joined, and you can claim that day's reward in the game once during it. Rewards for days you miss can't be claimed later. You can extend your membership before it ends, and the new 30 days start when the current ones finish.
- Refunds for purchases made through Steam follow Steam's refund policy. If a purchase is refunded, charged back or reversed, we may remove what it gave you from your account.
- Our goods and services come with guarantees that can't be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law or the consumer laws where you live.
07Fair play
When you play CyberSushi, please don't:
- cheat, use bots, macros or automation, or use software that changes how the game works
- exploit bugs or glitches (please report them to us instead)
- hack, decompile or reverse engineer the game or our servers, except where the law allows it, or interfere with our servers
- buy, sell or trade accounts or virtual items for real money
- harass, threaten or impersonate other players or us
If you break these rules, we may remove items or scores, reset progress, or suspend or close your account, depending on how serious it is.
08Leaderboards
Your Steam or Epic display name and your scores appear on public leaderboards in the game. We may remove scores we believe weren't earned fairly.
09Streaming, videos and fan content
You're welcome to stream CyberSushi and post videos and screenshots of it, including on monetized YouTube, Twitch and TikTok channels. Fan art and other fan creations are welcome too, as long as they aren't sold. Please don't suggest that your content is official or made by us, and don't share cheats or exploits.
10Our content
CyberSushi and its characters, worlds, art, music, logos and other content belong to Ezza Games or the people we license them from. Apart from what the section above allows, you can't copy, sell or distribute them without our written permission. Steam is a trademark of Valve Corporation, and Epic Games and Epic Online Services are trademarks of Epic Games, Inc.
11Changes to the game
We update CyberSushi regularly and may add, change or remove features, content, rewards, Rifts and offers. Online services may be briefly unavailable during maintenance. If we ever plan to shut down CyberSushi's online services for good, we will give at least 30 days' notice in the game and on our Steam page.
12This website
Links to other sites, such as Steam, Discord and social media, are there for convenience, and those sites' own terms apply. Please don't misuse this website, for example by trying to break into it or overload it.
13Liability
- We provide CyberSushi and this website as they are, and we can't promise they will always be available or free of errors.
- Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or changes any consumer guarantee, right or remedy you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other laws that can't be excluded.
- Apart from those rights, and as far as the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability to you is limited to what you spent on CyberSushi purchases in the 12 months before your claim.
14Suspending and closing accounts
You can stop playing at any time and ask us to delete your account, as explained in our Privacy Policy. We may suspend or close an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, and we will tell you why unless the law prevents it. If we close your account because you broke these terms, you lose access to its virtual items.
15Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia, and the courts of New South Wales can hear any dispute about them. If you live outside Australia, you keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of your country and can use your local courts where those laws allow it.
16Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the game changes. We post the new version here with a new date, and we tell you about important changes in the game or on our Steam page before they take effect. If you keep playing after that, the new terms apply.
